$50K cash bail in alleged sex assault

Superior Court Associate Judge Kenneth L. Govendo retained yesterday a $50,000 cash bail that he earlier imposed on a 22-year-old man who allegedly sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl who was earlier reported missing in Koblerville.
Peter Fritz Lizama was directed to have no contact with the girl.
Preliminary hearing will be on Nov. 16 at 1:30pm. Arraignment will be on Nov. 27 at 9am.
George Hasselback was appointed counsel for Lizama.
Assistant attorney general Teri Tenorio appeared for the government at the bail hearing.
The girl was reported missing last Thursday night, but was recovered by police the following day. Police learned that she did not return home from the day before, Wednesday.
Police arrested Lizama last Friday.
According to police detective John Anthony Hofschneider, the girl’s mother told him last Thursday night that the child indicated she was not feeling well and did not go to school last Wednesday.
The mother said her daughter asked if she could go to her friend’s house, which she allowed. The mother last saw her that day, Thursday, at 3pm.
Hofschneider said the girl returned to her house last Friday at 10:15am.
The Department of Public Safety issued an Amber alert early Friday morning. An Amber alert is a child abduction alert system.
Hofschneider said when he arrived at the girl’s residence in Koblerville, she was crying and trying to hide her face during the interview.
Hofschneider said the girl confessed she was in Tanapag with her boyfriend, Lizama.
The girl admitted that she had met Lizama at a store in Koblerville only last Wednesday and they have been dating since then.
The detective said the girl also confessed they had sex at Lizama’s residence between last Wednesday and Friday.
Hofschneider said during an interview, Lizama stated he picked up the girl from Koblerville and brought her to his house in Tanapag, where they had sex last Wednesday night and Thursday night.
Lizama said he heard over the radio last Friday morning that the girl was missing.
Lizama said his mother called for a taxi to pick up the girl from Tanapag and took her to Koblerville.
