The 38th Japan Autumn Festival in Guam

The 38th Japan Autumn Festival will be celebrated in Guam on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, from 2pm to 9pm at the Governor Joseph Beach Park (Ypao Park).

Parking will be available across St. Antony Church with free shuttle services starting at 1:30pm. The last shuttle will leave Ypao Park at 10:15pm. Accessible parking will also available at the Hilton entrance, entering from the right side gate to the lower parking near the amphitheater.

Booklets of 10 tickets are being sold until Nov. 17 first floor of Pia Marine. Tokyo Mart in Tamuning will begin selling tickets from Nov. 14 to Nov. 17. Tickets will also be available at the event ticket booths on the day of event.

The Japan Autumn Festival (“Akimatsuri”) began in 1977 in a hotel parking lot owned by Japanese individuals and moved to its current site at Ypao Park in 1983. Akimatsuri is now enjoyed by an audience of 30,000 people.

With the support of more than 90 corporations and organizations, the Japan Autumn Festival will offer over 40 stalls of food, drinks, and fun-filled games as well as the Mikoshi Parade and variety of Japanese and local performances on stage. (PR)
