My teacher – Joseph Muña
Joseph Muña
My teacher’s name is Mr. Joseph Muña. My classmates and others call him Mr. Jay. If you come in his class, he is most likely to be there because he is rarely absent. In his class, he has 34 students, including me.
Other classes have over 20 students. He expects all his students to come to school ready to learn. His favorite subject to teach is math. He once said, “practice makes permanent.” This means that whatever you practice stays with you forever.
His class is part of the 21st century model classrooms, so he let his students do activities with the iPads. Mr. Jay calls us “young adults” because he thinks that we are old enough to practice being responsible like adults.
He does not believe there are bad people but people who make poor choices. So we do our best to make good choices in class; if not, our names go on the board. I am thankful that Mr. Jay is my teacher because he teaches a lot of stuff and inspires us to be a better person.
I hope Mr. Jay continues to guide his students at WSR. I am glad he is my teacher and he is my favorite one yet.
