TakeCare has launched an online member verification portal for health professionals at the Commonwealth Healthcare Corp.

“Access to up-to-date eligibility and accurate benefits data greatly improves claims processing and accelerates payments/reimbursements to providers,” said Esther Muna, CHC chief executive officer.

Nora Sablan, TakeCare Saipan health plan manager, said: “As the first local health insurance carrier to offer real-time verification, TakeCare is proud to partner with CHC in providing a better patient experience for our members.”

Invalid or incorrect patient insurance eligibility information is one of the most common reasons for claims denials, said Arvin Lojo, TakeCare health plan administrator.

“TakeCare offers TCEVA, a Web-based tool, to all our in-network providers, and now CHC, which enables them such to quickly and accurately determine eligibility within seconds, including details about the patient’s copayment, co-insurance, deductible and benefit coverage,” said Lojo.

TakeCare and CHC will continue to work together to ensuring high quality care is accessible and affordable to TakeCare members.

TakeCare’s health plans cover 30,000-plus members’ needs with exceptional, member-patient focused services. With over 40 years in the industry, TakeCare continues to uphold the highest standards of excellence for accredited provider networks, patient management expertise, and end-to-end quality control processes.
