CARE CNMI seeks short-term director to lead long-term recovery operation
The Commonwealth Advocates for Recovery Effort, a local nonprofit organization, is looking a short-term contractor to serve as director of CARE for no more than six months beginning in January 2018.
The salary will be commensurate with experience, and the position will be dependent on the availability of funding.
The CARE director works to administer and manage the long-term disaster recovery nonprofit organization for the CNMI. The director reports to the CARE Steering Committee and is responsible for oversight of CARE’s disaster recovery efforts (including the ongoing repair and rebuilding program) and meeting the organization’s mission statement, goals, and objectives.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required /master’s degree preferred, with experience in the nonprofit sector, disaster recovery work, or related field.
• Must possess a CNMI business license.
• Must possess management and leadership abilities, as well as strong communication and project management skills.
• Knowledge of the CNMI community, CNMI government, federal government resources, and website and donor database management.
