Comments sought for PA memo on Marine Corps’ relocation to Guam

PITI, Guam—Naval Facilities Engineering Command Marianas announced Friday the availability of a Programmatic Agreement Memo for public review and comments through Dec. 4, 2017.
This 45-day public comment period is for PA Memo 1a, which is specific to the determination of effects of the Northern Ungulate Fence for Forest Enhancement on Guam for project J-001B, the Marine Corps main cantonment on Naval Computer Telecommunication Station at Finegayan, Guam. The purpose of this project is to provide ungulate control fencing to meet the obligation for forest enhancement in the North Finegayan area. This is PA Memo 1a for this project, having previously addressed comments from the Guam Historic Preservation Office on PA Memo 1. Those without internet access may obtain a printed copy of the PA Memo from the Guam Historic Resources Division at 490 Chalan Palasyo, Agana Heights, 96910 (in the Department of Parks and Recreation Office). PA Memos provide an opportunity for interested members of the public to participate in the Section 106 consultation process required under the National Historic Preservation Act. (USN)
