28th Club 200 this Saturday
To raise funds for its many community projects, the American Red Cross-NMI Chapter will be hosting what it is touting as its biggest fundraiser of the year, the 28th Annual Club 200.
The event will be held this Saturday, Oct. 28, at the Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan. The event will be a dinner and raffle with a grand prize of $15,000.
According to ARC-NMI Chapter Emergency Services director J.D. Tenorio, the community is invited to the event. “Folks from all walks of life are welcome to come out and support the event,” he said.
The fundraiser is intended to raise money that will go to assisting people through the chapter’s many programs, including disaster preparedness response, service to the armed forces, school and community outreach, and more.
The ARC-NMI Chapter hopes to sell at least 1,200 tickets that will enable it to raise at least $120,000.
The theme of the night is “By the Sea.” Attendees are encouraged to wear nautical-themed costumes, whether as sea creatures or anything related to the sea theme. Tenorio said that guest should expect a party. “It’s going to be a lot of fun,” he said.
This year, the NMI Chapter will be highlighting local musicians. According to Tenorio, guest will witness live entertainment from the Marianas Music Association.
He said the ARC-NMI Chapter is still open to donations. The final amount of donations will be tallied after the event.
Tickets for the event are currently priced at $100 each and are available for purchase at the ARC-NMI Chapter’s office. The office is also willing to personally deliver tickets. For inquiries, individuals may contact the ARC-NMI Chapter’s office at 234-3459.
