Sister teams clash in Tuesday League Bud Cup title match

Sister teams Chow Time-Blue Haus Destroyers and Chow Time Assassins will clash for the Saipan Billiards Association Tuesday League’s Budweiser Cup after dispatching separate semis opponents in different venues last week.
The Destroyers and Assassins escaped with similar 9-8 wins with the final Partner’s 8-Ball event deciding the outcomes of both matches.
Nolan Cultura and Gian Flores delivered for the Destroyers in the deciding game after besting Senen Pangilinan and Jerry Soriano of the 9 Eleven-Docomo Hustlers, while Julian Reyes and Randy Sablan did the same against Niel Ayson and Victor Formales in the Assassins-Crazy 8 match.
The Destroyers-Assasins final match will be played tonight, while losing teams 9 Eleven-Docomo Hustlers and Tasha’s Crazy 8 vie for the third place honors.
In the Thursday League, the 9 Eleven Titans II scored a 9-7 upset over regular season champions MJD Warriors to lead three other teams to the semifinals.
The Titans will be facing the Chow Time 8 Black Ball, a 9-7 winner over Tasha’s Wild Bills in the first Final Four pairing, while the 9 Eleven Jam Shooters cruised to a 9-2 decision against the Sands Team SCS. The Jam Shooters will take on the Chow Time-Blue Haus Homeboyz in the other semis matchup after the latter dispatched Tasha’s Extreme, 9-2.
The semis will be played on Oct. 12, Thursday, with the winners advancing to the Oct. 19 finals.
