NMC-CREES presents 4-H Riptide
The Family, Community and Youth Development program within the Northern Marianas College Cooperative Research, Extension & Educational Services is seeking students to participate in their new program 4-H Riptide!
The program is dedicated to serving as an educational resource for children to learn about the CNMI’s culture and environment.
The program aims to teach participants through various presentations and activities about how important the CNMI’s environment is, and to help reestablish an understanding of our islands to help preserve cultural values and beliefs.
4-H Riptide will be held at different locations on Saipan. These locations include San Antonio, Gualo Rai, Koblerville, Chalan Kanoa, and Tanapag.
The first session will be held at the San Antonio Youth Center starting on Oct. 2 to Oct. 14, 2017. 4-H Riptide will run Monday to Friday on the first week, and Monday to Saturday on the second week. The program will be from 3:30pm to 5pm, Monday to Friday, while Saturday will be from 8:30am to 12pm.
The registration deadline is on Sept. 29, 2017. Seating is limited to 25 slots so register as soon as possible. The slots are a first come, first serve basis. Participants must be between the ages of 7-15.
