New Superior Court Associate Judge Wesley Bogdan will conduct his first hearing today, Thursday.

Saipan Tribune learned that Bogdan will preside over several change of plea hearings in traffic cases at 1:30pm.

Presiding Judge Robert C. Naraja was the original judge assigned to handle those traffic cases.

Bogdan came to work for the first time last Sept. 1, in which he sat next to Associate Judge Joseph N. Camacho during hearing.

The Senate approved Bogdan’s appointment as associate judge last Aug. 10.

Bogdan takes over the position of David A. Wiseman, who retired as an associate judge in May 2016. Gov. Ralph DLG Torres appointed Bogdan a year later.

Bogdan’s investiture at the CNMI Supreme Court will be in November 2017.
