Amirez and Russell are guests on Sunday’s ‘Humanities Half-Hour’

This Sunday’s “Your Humanities Half-Hour” radio program will feature 11th grader Seranicia Amirez, who will share her experience as a participant in the recent CNMI Storytellers Workshop facilitated by poet, author, and climate change activist Kathy Jetnil-Kijiner and international photographer Daniel Lin. Amirez will also share her original poetry from the workshop.
The show will also include an interview with Scott Russell of the Northern Marianas Humanities Council who will share information about the 3rd Marianas History Conference on Sept. 1-2, 2017, at Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan. The conference will be held from 9am to 5pm each day and is free and open to the public. Thirty-six speakers will present on various topics ranging from ancient Chamorro history to more recent events of the late 20th and early 21st centuries.
