The Carolinian community has revived its organization, electing a new set of officers. The group’s work would focus on helping its people’s wellbeing in the Northern Mariana Islands.

Elected as officers are Ambrosio Ogumuro, president; Juan Tenorio, vice president; Emy Palican, secretary; and Cecilia Taitano, treasurer.

“Our goal is the collective improvement in the wellbeing of our people through unity,” Ogumuro said. “A lot of our efforts would [be] in training and skills acquisition and education as it relates to career development”, he added. “It’s the total development of the wellbeing of our people that matters, facing new challenges in the 21st century.”

“We’re thankful to the pillars of our community who joined us last week, emphasizing the strength of unity for the benefit of one and all”, Ogumuro said. “I am also most humbled by the confidence entrusted in my providing leadership for our newly revived organization.”

“I have confidence in our newly organized leadership to make a difference.” (PR)
