Attempted kidnapping

Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s help for an attempted kidnapping in San Antonio, Saipan.

On Monday, Aug. 14, 2017, at 1:02pm, police responded to a residence on Liguan Avenue in San Antonio and met with the victim’s mother. It was learned that the victim, a 9-year-old girl, was outside her house when the suspect, described as a male wearing a white shirt, white hat, and Capri pants was holding a candy and calling the victim to his car.

The suspect’s car was parked about 25 feet southeast of the residence on the shoulder of the road next to a building, with his left rear door open. The victim became scared and ran back into the house, informing her mother who contacted the police.

The victim described the suspect as light-skinned and had a bald head, with little white hair on his beard. The suspect had a silver wristwatch and his right hand was holding a blue candy box.

The suspect’s car was described as a gray Toyota Yaris with light tint.
