Christina Michelsen

Christina Michelsen has been promoted to Bank of Hawaii vice president and Palau manager.

Michelsen has led and managed Bank of Hawaii’s Koror branch in the West Pacific region since November 2016. In addition to branch management, her roles and responsibilities have expanded to include sales, service, compliance and risk management, and is the primary liaison with community leaders in that region.

She joined the bank in 1987 and has held a variety of leadership positions on Oahu and in the West Pacific, including branch manager, personal banking officer, and business banking officer. Her experience in the West Pacific includes nearly 17 years of building relationships with customers, businesses, and the community.

A graduate of Bethania Seminary High School, she went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Southern Maine at Portland-Gorham. She is also a graduate of the Norman Morris Auditing School in New Hampshire. Michelsen is a member of the Rotary Club of Palau, treasurer of the Trilogy at the Vineyard Tennis Club, and supports the community by participating in Bank of Hawaii’s Live Kōkua Volunteer Program.
