KONQER Sports organizers are looking for volunteers that would help them in the inaugural event on Saipan. KONQER Saipan-King of the Hill set on Sept. 9 at the Gov. Eloy S. Inos Peace Park in Puerto Rico.
KONQER Sports president Kelli Wedd said one of their ways to help the community is through the volunteers that are entitled to some perks like participating in the obstacle course challenge free of charge.
Weld wrote to Northern Marianas Sports Association president Michael White, who then sent the invitation so federations could assign their athletes or other members as volunteers.
“In exchange for every 10 volunteers who assist with the event, KONQER Sports provides a $200 donation to their organization or federation. I know how hard these athletes work at their sport, and we love to be able to assist where we can to get them to their next competition, purchase new equipment, etc.,” said Weld.
“In addition to the donation, the volunteers will also be able to participate in the event free of charge. The obstacle course is a blast,” added the KONQER Sports chief.
KONQER started in Guam in 2015 and had also organized a similar event in Palau aside from Saipan. Promoting wellness through a fun and challenging obstacle course, where people of all fitness levels could enjoy, has been KONQER Sports’ mission.
