Noodle House favorites at Sichuan Restaurant
The Sichuan Restaurant in Garapan began serving this week several Noodle House favorites.
The Noodle House, which first began operations at the best Sunshine Live casino training facility two years ago, may have closed down when the casino moved out of T Galleria in July, but many of its popular dishes can now be had at the Sichuan Restaurant in Garapan.
“We ran the Noodle House for two years people and loved our food,” said Lucy Go, Imperial Pacific International Ltd.’s assistant vice president of Hospitality & Affairs. “It has been a month since we closed and many of our loyal customers were saddened and kept asking us when are we going to open and where. We felt that we have a strong following and we did not want to disappoint people. In the meantime, Sichuan Restaurant allowed us to serve Noodle House favorite dishes in the restaurant.”
The food and beverage team from the old Noodle House will also form the team that is going to cook the dishes in Sichuan. Go is proud to have the services of Chen Hai Song, who has worked in Michelin-starred restaurants in Beijing, Hong Kong, Bangkok, and Singapore.
“Our executive chef, Chen Hai Song, is still with us since two years ago. In fact, he just arrived from Beijing a couple of days ago. We got the best chef and he is with us on Saipan.”
She assured that people’s favorite dishes will be cooked the authentic Chinese way.
Future plans involve putting up the Noodle House restaurant back on Saipan and running it for 24 hours. Go said there are plans of having a restaurant inside the Imperial Pacific Resort Casino but nothing is final.
“Our focus now is our food and to target both loyal and new customers. Like in the old Noodle House, we give our customers preference as to spiciness so our food and service is just like before.”
