UFO raises over $3K for families of 3 workers

The families of the ongoing “Tulong Kapwa” donation drive for the three Filipino workers who were killed while working on a Commonwealth Utilities Corp. sewer lift station in San Antonio, Saipan, have already received over $1,300 each.

The United Filipino Organization, which spearheaded the fundraising drive, have managed to raise over $3,900, which they divided into three and sent to the families of Danilo Paglinawan, Ricky Quijano, and Amid Tapon.

The organization was able to send $1,315.30 to each of these workers’ families.

According to a statement from UFO press relations officer Lito Marquez, the families of the three victims have already received the amounts sent them.

UFO president Marlon Regaton expressed his gratitude for the support shown by the public for their compatriots.

The donation drive will end on July 31. The organization will schedule another counting session to consolidate all the collections for remittance to the families.

All groups and individuals handling solicitations are required to submit all collections on July 31.

The family members who received the money are beyond grateful for the help offered by the organization and for all the help that was given them by the residents of Saipan.
