BOE honors Dujua for his contributions to the arts

The CNMI Board of Education recognized Paul Dujua for his contribution to the Public School System, presenting him with a plaque last Thursday at the board’s meeting.
In particular, the board honored Dujua for his role as musical director of the Marianas High School Glee Club, now called Rhythm ‘N Harmony.
Herman Guerrero led other Board of Education members in presenting Dujua with a plaque. Dujua will soon relocate to the U.S. mainland.
Dujua first established the MHS Glee Club in 2010, starting with only 16 members.
The group competed in many local and international competitions, taking home many accolades, including the top prize at the Tumon Bay Music Festival in Guam, the Sweepstakes Trophy. Today, the Rhythm ‘N Harmony is known for its outstanding group performances.
According to Dujua, he is beyond honored that the board recognized his efforts and he is grateful to have made such an impact on the choir and PSS.
Despite his relocation, Dujua hopes that the school will continue to carry out the glee club program and to continue to inspire more students to express themselves through theater and music.
