Jehovah’s Witnesses hosts convention

Jehovah’s Witnesses are currently canvassing the islands of Saipan, Tinian, and Rota, distributing invitations to attend a convention with the theme, “Don’t Give Up!”

The three-day event is being held July 14-16 at their Kingdom Hall auditorium in Gualo Rai.

Jim Hodgson, a local elder for Jehovah’s Witnesses, said a sizeable crowd is expected for the convention. Everyone is invited to attend. Admission is free and collections will not be taken.

“Many people suffer disappointment and feel discouraged. The convention program can provide them with needed comfort,” said Hodgson.

The convention begins at 9:20am daily.

There will be an immersion baptism at noon on Saturday. Those qualifying for baptism will be immersed in a pool built especially for the occasion.
