Pacific Islands Club Saipan handed over prizes to three schools with the most number of participants in the 2017 PIC Hafa Adai 5K Run held last April.
PIC, which organized the race, turned in $500 worth of gift certificates from All Star Sporting Goods sponsored by Let’s Move Marianas each to Oleai Elementary School, Hopwood Middle School, and Agape Christian School. Oleai fielded 183 students in the event, while Hopwood was represented by 60 students, and Agape had 65.
Besides the student-runners from the three schools, over 1,000 others joined the PIC Hafa Adai 5K. Proceeds from the event were donated to Marianas Tourism Education Council, which teaches kids through its MY WAVE Club the benefit and value of our tourism industry.
Meanwhile, PIC will host another event next month with the staffing of the Laser Tag Tournament on July 15. More information will be announced as the competition nears. (PR)
