Habitual offender gets 2 years in prison

A habitual offender who robbed two women in Chalan Kanoa was sentenced to five years in prison, all suspended except for two years.

Jeremiah P. Seman was ordered to serve 11 months of his suspended sentence in his prior 2015 criminal case conviction. The 11-month suspended sentence shall run concurrently with his sentence in the robbery case.

Seman, 33, was given credit for 57 days of time served. That means he was required to serve a total of two years imprisonment, minus 57 days of time served.

Seman is to report to the Department of Corrections today, Monday, at 8am. He shall be released on April 16, 2019 at 8am.

In 2015, Seman was sentenced to 30 days in prison, with credit of 11 days of time served, for theft. In June 2016, the Office of the Attorney General charged him with robbery. Seman also admitted to a robbery on July 5, 2016.
