SUVA, Fiji—In conjunction with its 70th anniversary this year, the Secretariat of the Pacific Community pays tribute to the important role of Pacific women in improving lives and is inviting the public from across the region to participate in a campaign to celebrate the legacy of Pacific women.

SPC is calling for submissions to help identify 70 women or groups of women who have made a significant contribution to the social, economic, cultural and political development in Pacific countries and territories.

The 70 successful submissions will be shared via SPC’s corporate media platforms in the build-up to the 13th Triennial Conference of Pacific Women, to be held in Suva, Fiji in October this year.

Submissions close on July 15, 2017. (PR)
