Robbery in Garapan

Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s help for a robbery incident that occurred on Coral Tree Ave. (Route 219) by Garapan Elementary School on Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at about 10pm. Police learned that two Asian women were walking west on the sidewalk by Garapan Elementary School when the one of the women, 28, had her pursed snatched.

The women were walking toward Beach Road when they passed a blue Toyota Corolla. Three men were inside the car and the windows were rolled up.

Suspect 1 described as male, wearing a white shirt and had short hair, exited the rear passenger door and grabbed the victim’s purse. The victim struggled with the suspect, who entered the getaway car, which then made a U-turn and drove east toward the Chalan Pale Arnold highway. The victim was holding on to the car when she fell and sustained minor injuries to her right knee. The Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services treated the victim for her injuries. She refused transport to the hospital. Items stolen include a black purse, a cell phone, a Chinese passport, a necklace, and $100 cash.
