Organizers of the Governor’s Tournament of Champions have just announced that Joeten Motors is offering a brand new 2017 Honda Civic hatchback as a hole-in-one prize for the 22nd Governor’s Tournament of Champions, which will be held on Saturday and Sunday, May 27, and 28, 2017.

“Joeten Motors’ 2017 Honda Civic hole-in-one prize raises the anticipation and excitement for this year’s Tournament of Champions,” said Ben Babauta, tournament director. “We are extremely thankful for the company’s donation and for its longstanding commitment to the tournament.”

“Joeten Motors has always been an enthusiastic supporter of the Tournament of Champions and the benefits it provides to the community,” said Matt Deets, Joeten Motors general manager. “We wish all the players luck at this year’s tournament.”

The 22nd Governor’s Tournament of Champions will be played at the Laolao Bay Golf & Resort’s east and west courses on May 27 and 28. The two-day event is bigger and better than ever, with exciting hole-in-one prizes and the chance to win thousands of dollars in possible prizes. The TOC tournament fee is $200.

Winners in the Men’s Championship, A, B, C, Senior, and Super Senior flights will each receive $500, $400, $300, a digital camera, and $100 DFS gift certificate for the first to fifth place, respectively. The Ladies Low Gross winners will receive $500, $400, and $300 for first to third place, respectively. The first, second, and third place winners of the Ladies Low Net will each receive a trophy.

Prizes worth hundreds of thousands of dollars will be at stake in the two-day tournament.

Since its inception, TOC has turned over more than $800,000 to the Saipan Beautification Fund, which has gone directly to improvements like the tree-lined traffic medians that stretch from Garapan to the Kensington Hotel, as well as the revitalization of the Garapan special district. In addition, the Governor’s TOC also contributed funds for the Paseo de Marianas, the lighting of the Saipan Beach Road Pathway, and the beautification of the Port to Park pathway.
