Ex-cop responsible for burglaries at 2 restaurants
Former police officer Gordon Odoshi Seman pleaded guilty yesterday to two burglaries in two restaurants in western Garapan.
Seman, 35, pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary as part of a plea deal. He will be sentenced on Nov. 28, 2017. He was represented by assistant public defender Cindy Nesbit. Assistant attorney general Chester Hinds appeared for the government.
Seman was charged with burglary and theft for breaking into Coco’s Restaurant on Dec. 7, 2016 where he stole an Olympus camera pen lite E-PLS double zoom kit, Olympus Fisheye converter, SD memory card, battery pack, camera bag, five lobsters, several liquor and sodas, $15 in cash, and a trash box.
Seman also broke into Avenue Restaurant on Dec. 11, 2016, where he stole an HP computer, kitchen dishes, food, clothing, jewelry, Gucci bag, four Coach purses, and several liquor and alcohol.
In July 2011, Seman, who was then a rookie police officer, pleaded guilty to assault and battery when he beat up his wife while drunk outside their house in Dandan. Superior Court Associate Judge Kenneth Govendo sentenced him to 12 days of prison term, with credit of 12 days of time served.
