A 19-year-old security officer was arrested Monday for allegedly twice sexually abusing a minor on Saipan in March.

Christopher Ada Chlarson Jr. faces charges of sexual abuse of a minor in the first degree, assault and battery, and disturbing the peace.

A $100,000 cash bail was imposed on Chlarson, who is a security officer at Best Sunshine. Preliminary hearing will be on May 19 at 9am.

Assistant public defender Tillman Clark is his counsel. Assistant attorney general Chester Hinds appeared for the government.

A police officer responded to a school on Monday morning after the principal reported a sexual abuse of a minor case.

A teacher talked to a 15-year-old student after she wrote in a journal that someone has been traumatizing her. The student said that Chlarson sexually abused her twice while she was sleeping at home last March.
Chlarson allegedly admitted the allegation.
