Attempted poker robbery

Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s help for information on an attempted robbery incident that occurred at JL Poker II, by Family Market, Susupe village.

On Monday morning, July 23, 2012, at about 6am, a male suspect entered the poker room armed with a long wooden stick. The suspect was described as male, medium built, wearing black shorts, a green long-sleeved polo shirt, black shoes, and a grey shirt covering his face.

The suspect approached the cashier’s booth. The cashier, a 40-year-old Chinese female, was locked in the booth behind the glass. The suspect swung the stick in the air threatening the cashier and shouting, “Give me money” several times. The suspect attempted to open the cashier booth door twice but it was locked. The suspect struck the stick on the counter, breaking the stick. The cashier picked up the phone and the suspect fled the area on foot. No one was injured in the incident and nothing was stolen.
