Sewer odor in Sadog Tasi, Puerto Rico, Lower Base, Garapan areas

The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. would like to inform the general public that there will be a sewage odor in the Sadog Tasi, Puerto Rico, Lower Base, and Garapan areas starting Thursday, April 27, through Wednesday, May 17.

The Sadog Tasi Treatment Plant personnel will be removing accumulated sludge from the treatment plant site and hauling it to the landfill starting April 27, 2017 and continuing intermittently until May 17, 2017. Strong odor is expected as the pile is disturbed for transport and may persist until sludge removal is completed.

JKPL front parking lot closed April 27-29

The Joeten-Kiyu Public Library front parking lot will be closed temporarily this Thursday evening at 6pm, April 27, to Saturday, April 29, 4pm in preparation for Week of the Young Child Informational Fair (Saturday, April 29, 2017).

Available parking space will be located at the rear, with additional parking at the neighboring Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center. Joeten-Kiyu Public Library hours will remain open Tuesdays-Fridays from 10am to 6pm and Saturdays from 9am to 4pm. We apologize for the inconvenience. Naddu reunion starts Friday

The Leonardo (Naddu) reunion will start this Friday, July 28. with Mass at 6pm at the Mt. Carmel Cathedral. On July 29 the celebration continues at 11am at the baseball field on Capitol Hill with delicious food followed by entertainment and games, etc.

Every Thursday, we meet at 5:30pm. The meeting starts on time at 6pm at the kiosku by the post office in Chalan Kanoa. Everyone of the Naddu family is invited. Please come to the weekly meeting if you can. (PR)

SSHS mid-progress report distribution today

Saipan Southern High School will be distributing its students’ mid-progress reports today, April 27, from 3pm to 6pm on school classrooms. (SSHS)
