All set for Tinian San Jose Fiesta this weekend
Tinian Mayor Joey P. San Nicolas and the Tinian Leadership is inviting the community to attend this year’s Tinian San Jose Fiesta.
This year’s fiesta will be held at the Kammer Beach Main Pavilion with a soft opening held yesterday, April 26, 2017, and the opening ceremony set for tomorrow, April 28, beginning 6pm.
The fiesta will run until Sunday, April 30. This year’s event will consist of live band entertainment from Wednesday to Saturday, 6pm-12 midnight.
In addition to local artists, the San Jose Fiesta will be featuring Joe McCarrel (J.D. Crutch’s son) on Friday and Saturday evening and Chris Boomer on Saturday evening. Other events include sports tournaments as well as competitions that are open for registration on specific days.
The Tinian Fishing Derby (6am-5pm) and the Tour De Tinian 100K Mountain Bike Race (6am- 2pm) are also scheduled for Saturday, April 29.
In addition to the great live entertainment booked from the April 26 to the evening of April 29, the San Jose Fiesta will have Saipan and Northern Islands Municipal Council chair L.J. “Finasisu Mestisu” Castro and Chris “Malafunkshun” Barnett serving as emcees.
Vendors will also be selling food and drinks and other games. The Municipality of Tinian is extremely excited for this year’s San Jose Fiesta.
To support the San Jose Fiesta, Star Marianas will be flying between Saipan and Tinian from April 27 to 29 up to 9:30pm (Please call Star Marianas at 433-9996 for reservations).
Additionally, van shuttle services will be available from 9am to 9:30pm from the Tinian Airport to the Kammer Beach Pavilion and back every hour. For those who wish to camp during the event, a camping site has been designated right next to the event with restroom and shower facilities made available.
