Forever grateful

Julita Concepcion Crisostomo, aka Julie, our mother is a breast cancer survivor who had kidney failure due to some of her cancer treatments. She is a fighter, the strongest person we know. She’s undergone chemotherapy as well as radiation treatments for her cancer and then peritoneal dialysis, which eventually had to be replaced with hemodialysis while waiting for a kidney transplant.

She had been under medical treatment for over seven years waiting for this time. Last Monday, April 24 (Arizona time), which is Tuesday, April 25 (CNMI time), a match was found and she had undergone the transplant surgery. As per doctors the surgery was successful and doctors are optimistic that kidneys will function properly. Her recovery time frame can be from 4-6 weeks, our family has set up a go fund me account to help with medical expenses incurred through out the whole entire transplant process. We extend our heartfelt thanks as well as our sincerest condolences to the donor’s families on the loss of their loved one. This would not be possible without that donor’s choice to be and organ donor. We are forever grateful.
