Film screening, discussion on indigenous healing traditions

The Haya Foundation, Inetnon Åmot yan Kotturan Natibu/Mwiischil Safey me Kkoor Aramasal Falúw and the Northern Marianas Humanities Council invite the public to the premiere screening and discussion of “Amot Para I Hinemlo’ta.”

“Amot Para I Hinemlo’ta” is a documentary film produced by Dr. Tricia A. Lizama from the University of Guam and is about the indigenous healing traditions featuring many of our healers throughout our islands. The 50-minute film will be followed by a discussion about the efforts to preserve traditional healing practices in the Marianas.

There will be two screenings this Saturday, April 22, at the American Memorial Park Visitors Center Theater in Garapan. The first screening is from 10am to 12pm and the second screening is from 4pm to 6pm. The screenings are free and open to the public.
