The CNMI Child Care Providers Association’s celebration of Providers’ Week will begin tomorrow, April 18, as the group has lined up a series of activities to recognize the contributions of the providers to early childhood education.
To start with, families of young children enrolled in the association’s member schools/centers will be interviewed by the staff of KWAW Magic 100.3 on the important roles of child care providers in our young children’s development. It will be aired on Tuesday from 4:30pm to 5pm.
Then on Wednesday, child care centers and their students will do the roadside waving at the Atkins Kroll crossing from 5pm to 6pm to raise awareness on early childhood education. The event will then be followed by the Thank You Thursday with parents requested to give any token of appreciation to their child’s teacher/caregiver. The Providers’ Week will culminate with a Family Fun Night set for April 21 at the Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center. Each member of the CNMI Child Care Providers Association has prepared a special presentation to entertain parents and their children attending the event.
CNMI Child Care Providers Association president Milagros Songcuan of Pure Love Daycare said Providers’ Week is part of the celebration of the Early Childhood Education Month.
“We applaud all providers, administrators, and educators for doing a tremendous job in assuring the safety and providing quality care and education to our young children. Let us join Smart Start, Loving Hands Daycare, Ghana Daycare, Golden Harvest School, R&Q Daycare/Night Care, and Pure Love Daycare in this week-long celebration,” Songcuan said. (PR)
