Eric Tydingco is Make-A-Wish president and CEO
TAMUNING, Guam—The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Guam & CNMI board announced yesterday that Eric Tydingco has been named president and CEO, effective Feb. 20.
Tydingco has been serving as interim executive director since September 2016.
The position of executive director has been renamed to president and CEO to maintain consistency with other national chapters.
Tydingco brings a wealth of experience, having served on the Make-A-Wish board as a director from 2010 until 2016 and as chairman from 2015-2016.
“I started as a volunteer and was fortunate for the opportunity to then serve on the board of directors,” said Tydingco. “It is often said that once a person encounters the work and mission of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, there is a lasting connection that will forever be intact. That is very true for me. Everything about what this organization does for the children of Guam and the CNMI is important to me.”
As required by Make-A-Wish America, the search committee hired an independent hiring firm and conducted a monthlong search in January, which generated numerous applicants.
“After an extensive interview process with a number of highly qualified candidates recommended by the hiring firm, the search committee stood unanimously behind Eric. His experience, knowledge of the organization, and vision for the future made him the ideal choice to take Make-A-Wish Guam & CNMI to the next level,” said Ana Maria Gayle, board chair. (PR)
