All set for Women’s Summit
The CNMI Women’s Association and Office of Women’s Affairs are inviting the public to join their two-day 4th annual Women’s Summit beginning Monday, March 27, through Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at the Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center. Seats are limited for this free event.
The CNMI Women’s Association strives to empower the women in the Northern Marianas and prepare them for leadership roles, not only in their homes but also in political, social and economic circles.
Former lawmaker Felicidad Ogumoro, who heads the seven-member association board and is also the overall 2017 Women’s Month chair, is upbeat about the theme for this year, “Empowering Women as Leaders of Change.”
Doris Drew, special assistant for Women’s Affairs, is chairing this year’s Women’s Summit.
“This year’s Women’s Summit will include informative keynote speakers and panel discussions on a variety of topics including culture, health, land and environment, politics, education, and entrepreneurship,” said Drew.
