Max number of players reached for golf tourney

The maximum number of players that can register for Saturday’s NMC Foundation Golf Tournament has been reached.
Those who have not registered to play, but would like to be placed on a player wait list, can contact 237-6833.
The tournament will take place at the Laolao Bay Golf & Resort’s east course tomorrow, Saturday, March 18, 2017. Show time is at 6am and the shotgun start is at 7am.
Hole-in-one prizes include a 2017 Toyota Tacoma from Atkins Kroll Saipan, a 2017 Mazda6i Sport from Triple J Motors, roundtrip tickets to the U.S. from Delta Air Lines, and $5,000 each from Marianas Insurance, McDonald’s, and Pacifica Insurance Underwriters. The tournament will also feature many other items as raffle prizes, including smartphones from IT&E and Docomo Pacific, hotel stays from several local hotels, meal gift certificates, and much more. Beverage sponsors include MarPac, Saipan Brewing Co., and Pacific Trading Co.
“We are extremely grateful for the strong show of support by the many sponsors who are helping the NMC Foundation by donating in-kind or cash prizes,” said Northern Marianas College president Dr. Carmen Fernandez. “We are also thankful for all the golf players who will be joining us on the golf course this weekend.”
The tournament will also feature cash prizes for the top three winners of each flight: the first place winner will receive $500, second place winner will receive $300, and the players placing third in each category will receive $200. There are six flight categories: Championship, A, B, C, Ladies, and Seniors.
The NMC Foundation is composed of individuals who are dedicated and committed to raising funds for the college’s programs and services that ultimately benefit students. The tournament is the foundation’s signature event. (NMC)
