Scheduled power outages on March 18, 22, 23
There will be a scheduled power outage on Saturday, March 18, 2017, from 5:30am to 1:30 p.m.
The purpose of the power interruption is to de-energize the primary lines to allow the Commonwealth Utilities Corp. line crew to safely replace seven wooden power poles with concrete poles along Isa Drive in San Vicente. This is part of the FEMA Hazard Mitigation Program to strengthen and harden the integrity of the power distribution system throughout the island.
Areas to be affected: Isa Drive, San Vicente (Laulau Bay Drive, Achon Ln., Railroad Dr., Sinagu Ln., Tininu Pl., Galak Dr., Makpong P1., Pacific Heights Ln., Boya P1., Galayan Pl., Mulberry Ln., Lantana P1., Palai Way, Mapga Ln., Langit Ln., Berbena Dr., Pakko Ln., Golondrina Dr., Nifen Ln., and Tagan Tagan Dr.).
There will also be a scheduled power interruption on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, from 9am to 1pm, to de-energize the primary lines to allow the CUC line crew to safely conduct distribution system maintenance on the Feeder 1 distribution circuit by replacing a rotted primary power pole in China Town, to strengthen and harden the integrity of the power distribution system throughout the island.
China Town will be affected (Executive Ct., Husga Av., President St., Ruler Ct., and Governor P1.).
Another scheduled power outage will take place on Thursday, March 23, 2017, from 9am to 1:30pm to allow the CUC line crew to safely replace four wooden power poles with concrete poles along Naftan Road in Dandan.
Areas to be affected: Naftan Road, Dandan (Hawaiian Rock Quarry and Guerrero residence).
Because of the scale of work that will be performed, CUC asks travelers to take alternate routes or to exercise caution when driving through the affected areas.
