A superseding indictment was filed in federal court yesterday against a suspected distributor of methamphetamine or “ice.”

The superseding indictment charged Yang Zou with one count of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

He is accused of having been found in possession of methamphetamine on April 15, 2016.

Zou will be arraigned on March 14 at 9am.

The original indictment charged him with the same offense, but it did not indicate the quantity of the drugs involved. It also contained the U.S. government’s notice of forfeiture.

Zou and two other suspected “ice” suppliers were arrested and taken to federal court last Dec. 14 for their initial appearance.
