HANMI charity golf tourney on June 24

One of the most highly anticipated annual golf tournaments in the Northern Mariana Islands is set to tee off on June 24, 2017, as the 16th Annual HANMI Charity Class Golf Tournament prepares to offer golfers the chance to win enticing prizes.
Golfers and sponsors are urged to mark their calendars for this year’s tournament, slated for Laolao Bay Golf & Resort west course and open to the first 144 paid registrants. Cash and numerous in-kind prizes await the winners, and proceeds of the tournament will be contributed to community charities.
“We’re bringing back the Blackjack Double Peoria format that was so popular last year, minus the Championship flight,” said tournament chair Takahiro Omori of Mariana Resort & Spa. “And once again, golfers will be able play with who they choose by requesting their preferred pairing.”
Registration forms will be available shortly on the HANMI website at www.saipanhotels.org, and at local golf course and hotels. Early bird tournament fee is $120 for payments received by 5pm, June 16. The fee includes green fee and the awards banquet. The fee increases to $140 after the early bird deadline. For an additional $30, players may also compete for optional play prizes. The tournament will start at 7am.
