Japan travel website Travelko has launched a “3-Day Holiday in The Marianas” campaign targeting its 3.4-million monthly unique users, mostly travelers in their 20s and 30s with a strong interest in overseas travel.

The campaign, developed in cooperation with the Marianas Visitors Authority, touts the proximity of the Marianas to Japan for easy holiday travel, as well as the new “30 Treasures of The Marianas” presented through the images of renowned nature photographer Junji Takasago.

“The proximity of the Marianas to Japan remains one of our strongest selling points as a destination,” said MVA marketing manager Bruce Bateman. “At the same time, the stunning images of Mr. Takasago are capturing a revived and vibrant Marianas, from a new viewpoint. The two messages work well together and are being used across much of the MVA’s marketing and promotions as of January.”

The campaign provides a direct link to packages offered by major travel agencies, featuring interviews with two Marianas ambassadors who recently visited the islands, and promotes the ongoing Instagram contest “My Marianas.” The campaign will continue through March 27. (MVA)
