A fine-tuned machine that’s coming apart
President Trump says his administration is “running like a fine-tuned machine.” Really? Is that why so many nominees have fallen by the wayside while Team Trump has to explain what the President said every time he makes one of his head-scratching pronouncements? He just can’t seem to get over the real fact that he won the election with 306 electoral votes (how many more times do we have to hear that coming from him) but lost the popular vote and still insists that’s not so.
So we’re going to be subjected to an avalanche of alternative facts for the next four years. It does not bode well for us as the free world looks to the United States for leadership, not leadership by fear and threats. If you listen to the President’s shallow, off-the-cuff remarks, you might agree with me that there is something not quite right with him and it portends dangerous times ahead no matter how much he says he’s a patriot and only wants to make America great again. In reality this “fine-tuned machine” is coming apart at the seams despite assurances it is running smoothly. Maybe Fred Flintstone would care to explain!
