MGA February Ace Sunday
The Marianas Golf Association will have its February Ace Tournament this Sunday with a 10am tee time on the east course of the Laolao Bay Golf and Resort.
MGA welcomes all golfers wanting to join a group of golfers who love to play on a regular basis and make new friends. Please visit the Marianas Golf Association Facebook page or contact tournament director, Calvin Yamagishi on 287-8894 for more information.
Founded in 2013, MGA is open to golfers of all skill levels. Although competitions are held for members, handicaps are used to keep the competitions fair for everyone. Food and drink are always provided after the event while scores are calculated.
Meanwhile, MGA has its new set of board of directors for 2017 with J.J. Atalig leading the group as president. Also elected were David Largent (vice president), Geri Dela Cruz (secretary), James Benavente (treasurer), Calvin Yamagishi (tournament director), and Jay Muna (handicap coordinator).
The group also held its 2016 Ace of Aces with October winner Peter Tenorio topping the season-ending competition at the Kingfisher Golf Links and Laolao Bay Golf and Resort. Other monthly winners last season were Joey Dela Cruz (January), Jenny Hegland (February), Muna (March), Chandler DeLoatch (April), David Largent (May), Seung Woo Kang (June), Atalig (July), Yamagishi (August), Benavente (September), Tony Guerrero (November.), and Jack Salas (December).
