High surf and small craft advisories cancelled

The National Weather Service in Tiyan, Guam, has cancelled the high surf and small craft advisory for the Marianas region.

It said that winds and waves have diminished to the point where they no longer pose a hazard to small craft. The public is being urged, however, to continue to exercise caution since the waves will be remain just below small craft advisory criteria most of this week.

The public and inexperienced mariners are encouraged to continue to be cautious near reeflines as strong rip currents may still occur. (EOC)
