SHRM meeting speaker to talk of CW program future
The Society for Human Resource Management NMI Chapter’s meeting this month will feature President Donald Trump’s point of contact for Guam and the CNMI to speak on the topic of the CNMI’s CW program.
A graduate of the Inter-American School of Law, Juan Carlos Benitez, executive director of the Guam Republican Party, has headed lobbying efforts for both the CNMI and Guam governments in Washington, D.C. He is currently a member of the National Asian American Pacific Islanders Council for Trump and the National Hispanic Advisory Council for Trump.
Benitez is also an immigration attorney with membership in the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
He will address the present status of the CNMI’s CW program and will review the efforts being pursued in Washington, D.C. to address the CNMI’s concern with the program’s end-date and visa numbers.
This SHRM lunch meeting will be held at the Pacific Islands Club Charley’s on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017, from 11:30am to 1:30 pm. Note that this meeting is on Wednesday, not the normal Thursday schedule. This presentation is open to the public. Benitez will provide an opportunity for questions.
