Share

The U.S. military is conducting its annual Cope North exercise on Tinian until March 3, 2017. The exercise began on Feb. 12, 2017.

Cope North training is intended to improve combat readiness, develop synergistic humanitarian assistance and/or disaster relief operations, and increase interoperability of the U.S. Forces, Royal Australian Air Force, and Japan Air Self-Defense Force, concentrating on coordination of air tactics, techniques, and procedures.

From Feb. 12 to March 1, there will be some limited access to some of the runways in North Field. The days that do not have any restrictions during this timeframe include Feb. 18, 2017, the weekend of Feb. 24, 2017, and after March 1, 2017.
