The Marianas Visitors Authority held the 2017 Marianas Supporters Opening Ceremony in Seoul on Jan. 25, 2017, recruiting 30 powerful digital influencers to create and release high quality digital content on various online channels to raise awareness of the Marianas as the ideal destination for free independent travelers.

The Marianas Supporters program consists of digital content experts in various categories including travel, outdoor recreation, beauty, art and even fashion. In the year ahead, the participants will visit Rota, Tinian, and Saipan posting the latest Marianas travel information and tips on their social media channels, such as Facebook, Instagram, and blogs.

The Jan. 26 ceremony started with an introduction of the MVA’s “Paradise For Everyone” campaign in Korea, presented by Justin Jung, the director of Marketing and PR of MVA’s Korea office.

Jung highlighted “Paradise For Everyone” as the main theme for digital content and provided travel guidelines for the public.

According to Jung, the participating digital influencers gave good feedback on the Marianas Supporter program and “Paradise For Everyone,” saying they were impressed that the

Marianas was a charming destination full of fascinating leisure activities and attractions.

“South Korea has one of the highest percentages of internet users in the world, so it makes sense to help FITs make the decision to visit the Marianas by reaching them online with up-to-the-minute content,” said MVA marketing manager Bruce Bateman. “And for our local and English-speaking community, we invite you to join the effort and begin using the hashtag #MyMarianas, so we can reach more FITs around the world!”

The Marianas Supporters program was implemented by the MVA to make the most of recent Korean travel market conditions, which show large increases in FIT demand and trendy travel information. The program is supported by MVA airline and hotel partners. (MVA)
