The CNMI chapter of the American Red Cross recently recognized IT&E for its continued long-term support and thanked it for the new fiber optic connection it provided the Red Cross office near the airport.
“IT&E’s fiber installation is tangibly improving our ability to access training and communicate better with our regional and national offices,” said John Hirsh, executive director of the American Red Cross-NMI Chapter.
“We now have the internet infrastructure to support a large number of volunteers during disasters like Typhoon Soudelor,” said Red Cross board chair Tayna Belyeu-Camacho.
IT&E has provided financial support, cellular and internet services to the American Red Cross for many years.
“It is an honor to be associated with an outstanding international organization like the Red Cross. They provide critical services to our community every day and especially during disasters,” said John Compton, IT&E’s chief operating officer. “We are glad to be in a position to support such a fine organization and we look forward to continuing our support for many years to come. We are actively working on other joint projects with the Red Cross and we will announce them at the appropriate time.” (PR)
