A Chinese business situated in the Paseo de Marianas handed out donations yesterday to several community organizations on the island.

Jiang Zheng Group Inc., which does business as real estate company Joint Marketing Inc., donated to community organizations such as Karidat, Commonwealth Cancer Association, the Northern Marianas Protection Advocacy Systems Inc., Empty Vessel Ministries, and both Pirates teams of Saipan Little League Majors division.

Joint Marketing CEO Eric Guo said he was just sharing his blessings as a Chinese tradition before the Chinese New Year.

“I appreciate this island a lot, because the people on the island are very honest and very friendly,” said Guo.

“I try my best to help others. I am not just a businessman; I am also human. I care about what the community needs,” he said.

Both little league teams received $1,400 each, while Empty Vessel received $600, and NMPASI, CCA, and Karidat each received $1,000.
