The Joeten-Kiyu Public Library is now accepting registrants for its regular ukulele lessons for both beginner and intermediate classes.

Coordinator Celina C. Foreman said classes would be held every Wednesday from 4pm to 5pm at JKPL’s Children of our Homeland Library.

The classes are open to children at least 8 years old as well as adults. Cost for the lessons is $50 for all eight hours of instruction. The starting date for the lessons would be announced later.

Students must also provide their own ukuleles and a folder to hold music sheets. Plastic sheet protectors and a three-ring binder are recommended.

Parents and guardians also need to secure a liability waiver form on behalf of their participating children and must adhere to JKPL policies and procedures.

Deadline to register is on Feb. 4. JKPL’s ukulele classes have a minimum enrollment of 15 students and maximum of 40.
