Atkins Kroll donates trucks to Red Cross
SAN JOSE, Saipan—Atkins Kroll announced yesterday the donation of three Tacoma pickup trucks to the American Red Cross, CNMI chapter.
In 2014, as part of Atkins Kroll’s centennial celebration, Toyota Motor Corp. and Atkins Kroll donated three 2015 Toyota Tacoma Pre-Runner double cab pickup trucks on a two-year lease. The lease agreement also included routine maintenance for each vehicle.
The lease agreement expired in December and Atkins Kroll again donated the ownership of the vehicles to the Red Cross.
According to Kelly Blue Book, an automotive research and vehicle valuation specialist, the resale value for each truck is in excess of $28,000. Atkins Kroll’s total vehicle donation is valued at $84,000.
The key to one Tacoma pickup truck was presented to Red Cross CNMI Chapter executive director John Hirsch by AK Saipan vice president and general manager Doug Brennan.
Earlier on Jan. 13, 2017, AK president Des Graham handed over the keys for the two Tacoma pickup trucks to executive director Chita Blaise. “We are really pleased that we can assist with the mission of the Red Cross both in Guam and Saipan with these work trucks,” said Graham.
Additionally, Atkins Kroll will also donate Service 4 Life packages for the life of the Tacoma trucks. The Red Cross will save $775 annually in scheduled maintenance expenses as long as the Red Cross owns the Tacoma trucks.
“This is extra value for the Red Cross since we want to ensure the trucks are always in tip top shape, which means the Red Cross can always depend on these Tacomas 24 hours a day,” added Graham. (PR)
