Rota residents urged to make homes energy-efficient
Staff from the Weatherization Assistance Program will be on Rota on Tuesday next week, Jan. 24, 2017, from 9am to 3pm at the Rota Mayor’s Office.
According to the announcement from the CNMI Department of Public Works, Division of Energy Office, the WAP staff intends to provide on-site assistance regarding the application process and the program services available to qualified low-income eligible residents.
With the services available, Rota residents are encouraged to avail of this program and make the necessary upgrades to improve the efficiency of their homes by replacing inefficient lightings and appliances with ones that are qualified Energy-Efficient, Energy Star® rated lightings and appliances that lower energy use to reduce high energy bills.
To avail of the program services, application forms are available at the Rota Mayor’s Office or may be obtained online at www.cnmienergy.com.
